THE MAN BEHIND ARUCANA

David moved to the Midlands in 1969 and still describes himself as an adopted Brummie.

Whilst at school David flourished in the creative subjects which set him upon a path for a career within Design. Initially his chosen profession was Engineering and Design in which he qualified with a HND in Product Design in 1982. This was also the year in which he saw a change in his profession, with him securing his first role as a Designer/Space Planner with the UK's largest manufacturer of office furniture. He continued his academic studies graduating with a BA (Hons) in Design in 1992.

EXPERIENCE MATTERS

He has enjoyed a progressive career in the office interiors industry during the past 26 years having held positions as a Design Manager and Director in two PLC organisations prior to the inception in 2000 of his own company, Arucana Limited.

Under his careful stewardship Arucana has enjoyed sustained growth in turnover and profitability year on year. The company is now recognised as the Midlands leading workplace design consultancy practice. Arucana has developed an enviable client base working for large corporate organisations and successful owner managed companies.

Arucana is recognised as Investors in People and has ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 accreditations for Quality, Environmental Design and Health & Safety. The company is a member of the Chartered Society of Designers and Association of Interior Specialists.

Arucana's brand today is recognised for its commitment to customer care, quality and design innovation being delivered within an ethos which is committed to best practice in green office design.

David has an active role in the company and is responsible for developing its key business strategies, together with maintaining a client facing role, leading a number of the company's major projects.

LIFE OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

David's passions are his Family, Surfing, Motorcycles and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Much of his leisure time is spent keeping his 1962 split screen VW camper van on the road!
